Pastors are involved in both preaching and leading. These two critical activities are interrelated and impact each other significantly. This Biblical Preaching Institute (June 4-7) seeks to address key aspects of both preaching and leadership. It is our conviction that solid biblical expository preaching is needed alongside of faithful biblical leadership in the local church. t is our desire to encourage and further equip pastors and other leaders in local church ministry as we engage with these two vital aspects of ministry. The time together will give an opportunity to hear biblical instruction, to fellowship with other pastors and leaders, and to use the time for personal reflection and enrichment. We are pleased to announce that joining us will be two guest speakers.
Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Orr will be speaking to us out of his 35+ years of faithful pastoral leadership at the Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven, MS. He is in much demand as a preacher and speaker and has recently written two books, the most recent is encouraging leadership “outside the box.”
Also joining us will be the Rev. Dr. David Allen, who, besides his pastoral ministry, has been a professor of expository preaching for many years. He is now serving as the Distinguished Professor of Practical Theology and Dean of the Adrian Rogers Center of Biblical Preaching at the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, TN. He is also the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of PreachingCoach. He is also a prolific author of articles, books and commentaries.
These guests will be joining pastor, preacher, teacher and author, Dr. Ted Rendall (our Resident Minister and Professor), myself (President) and the classic instruction of my late father, Dr. Stephen Olford (video).
The registration fee for this event is $125, which includes all the sessions, notes, 4 lunches, and refreshments. A deposit of $50 is due on or before May 29.
Accommodation is available on site for $50 a night per room here at 4000 Riverdale Rd. Memphis, Tn. 38115. Olford Ministries International, Inc. and the Institute for Biblical Preaching are headquartered on this property which is the East Campus of the Brown Missionary Baptist Church. The property is called the “Oasis Event and Retreat Center.”

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR BIBLICAL PREACHING
EXPOSITORY PREACHING PROGRAM
SEPTEMBER 4-19
This special training event combines sessions from our various Institutes for Biblical Preaching. The goal is an intensive instructional program in expository preaching within an atmosphere of spiritual enrichment and meaningful fellowship. The Institute for Biblical Preaching offers five different “institutes,” and this IIBP program combines core content from these five Institutes with a practical preaching workshop.
This event is scheduled especially for those who are training others in preaching and/or leadership. Training sessions, materials, accommodation, and meals are all part of the program. Over the years we have had attendees from many different countries.

Candidates need to complete an application form. Scholarship funds can be requested as part of the application process.
The basic schedule is as follows, sessions on most days take place mornings and afternoons ending with dinner.

September 9-12 Essentials/Strengthening Expository Preaching

September 15 - Sunday Worship and Events
September 16-18 Preaching Workshop/Biblical Leadership
September 19 Final Sessions

These sessions will be held at our ministry location (4000 Riverdale Rd. Memphis, TN 38115); known as the “Oasis Retreat and Event Center.”
A certificate of completion with be awarded to those who complete the program including various assignments.
A small registration fee of $50 is due upon arrival. The total cost of the program is $1995.
Priority is given to people involved in training others, especially in preaching and teaching. Also, having received a certificate for our online seminar is taken into consideration as well. Attendance is limited by available funds, if scholarship assistance is needed and requested.
