A note from Dr. David Olford

Dear Friend of Olford Ministries International, Inc., 

Greetings in Jesus’ Name!

I hope you are sensing the grace and the strength of the Lord as you walk with Him during these critical days. Most of us, if not all of us, have been impacted by the pandemic and/or natural disasters that have taken place this year, 2020.

I needed to be tested for the virus two days ago, and I was positively negative! We can be sure, of course, that God is sovereignly orchestrating all things to work together for good in relation to God’s people (Rom. 8:28). That is a truth that we must hold close to our hearts even when we don’t see “the good.”

I want to present something to you that is unusual for me, especially on our website.

As I think about the focus and the goals of our ministry, I think it is appropriate that churches be made aware of the possibility of supporting O.M.I. financially. We are an interdenominational ministry committed to the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

We are not only focused on those who are seeking practical help for themselves (which is great), but we are seeking also to train those who will “teach others also.” That is the goal of our International Institute for Biblical Preaching Certificate Program. Due to the pandemic, this program could not physically take place this year. We really did not have the funds to put on the full program this year, and we want to be prepared to offer it in September-October of next year, 2021.

At this time, two churches support O.M.I. monthly. One other church gives a few times in the year, and a fourth church occasionally. We have no large endowment as such. We are grateful for those who partner with us through prayer. And we are grateful for those who partner with us through giving whether they are individuals or churches or organizations/foundations.

There are several ways you can support our ministry:

• Tell others who would benefit from our training. A way to support the ministry and to gain from our training is to send people to one of our on-line Institute programs (olford.org).
• Also, please consider giving to underwrite the costs of visiting international church leaders would be a direct way to partner with us. We have many international connections and we have already sent out preachers as trainers of others to many countries. Monthly general support of any amount is especially helpful just because of the pre-planning that is needed to put on events.

We continue to be a ministry committed to encouraging and equipping God’s servants to preach and teach the Word of God faithfully in the power of the Holy Spirit. This burden and purpose shape all that we do.

Of course, we value your prayers as we seek to do what God has called us to do. We have already posted a few early 2021 on-site course dates on our website. Lord willing, we will add more dates and events soon.
