Our subject today is the Foundations of Christian Character.
Now I must begin by explaining how I'm going to proceed to address this subject. Because it means different things to different people, the foundations of Christian character, first of all, about this word character, which can mean various things.
What we are addressing is the nature of a person, especially a person's moral characteristics, we're not talking about personality traits, certainly not physical appearance, we're talking about the being the essence, the nature of a person, the foundations of Christian character.
And what we're focusing on is Christian character that should be evident in the life of a new born again, believer, or any born again believer, who has trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and is indwelt by the very spirit of Christ himself. That's what I mean by a Christian, someone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, and Lord, someone who is born again, by the Spirit of God and indwelt, by the very spirit of God, who is indeed the Spirit of Christ.
So we're thinking specifically about Christian character, and characteristics. And we will be presenting instruction in this session based on various biblical texts, and truths.
