The Crisis of Sinning [James 4:13-17 and Galatians 5:16-23] — Crises of a Christian Series #1
References: James 4:13-17 , Galatians 5:16-23
“Tug of War” is a fun playground game for children to play. But in the Christian life there is a serious conflict of war constantly going on. It is between the self-centered life and the Spirit-centered life. It is between the desire to please self and the desire to please God. We need to be aware of this struggle and aware of the provision made to win this struggle for a Spirit-centered life. One of the misleading half truths that preachers and evangelists often convey to newborn Christians is that after conversion there are no more temptations, testings, or failings. It therefore comes as a great shock when a young believers discovers that it is still possible for him to sin. There is victory in Jesus, but there can also be defeat when we cease to abide in Him (1 John 1:10).
